Born in Manresa (Barcelona), he began his musical studies at an early age. His first works in contemporary composition date back to the 1980s, with the help of Miquel Roger, Albert Sard\u00e0 and Josep Soler. Later he studied with Franco Donatoni, Luigi Nono and Samuel Adler, in addition to working with Joan Guinjoan, Crist\u00f3bal Halffter, J.R. Encinar and Ros Marb\u00e0.<\/p>\n
He has nearly fifty awards, among which the most important national and international composition prizes stand out. He has also received commissions from many institutions and prestigious performers, so his music is performed all over the world.<\/p>\n
