Among his other works, <strong>Lorca al piano<\/strong> is of note, as well as his composition <strong>Poemas del exilio<\/strong> based on texts by Rafael Alberti, performed by the new flamenco singer Miguel Poveda, who in 2004 received the Ciutat de Barcelona Award for this work.<\/p>\n<p>The Gran Teatre del Liceu commissioned him to compose the opera <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.obnc.cat\/en\/production\/la-cabeza-del-bautista-2\/\"><strong>La Cabeza del Bautista<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, based on the work of the same name by Valle-Incl\u00e1n with which he made his debut at the Barcelona Teatre del Liceu on April 20, 2009, produced by \u00d2pera de Butxaca i Nova Creaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>He has composed the symphonic ballet <strong>Negro Goya<\/strong> (based on the last creative period of the painter), commissioned by the Spanish National Ballet, with choreography by Jos\u00e9 Antonio and premiered at the Granada International Music and Dance Festival in 2011. In 2011 he premiered the cantata <strong>Beceroles<\/strong> (Dawns) and his first <strong>Piano Concerto<\/strong> with Iv\u00e1n Mart\u00edn as soloist, both works commissioned by the Barcelona Auditorium.
