He continued his studies of <strong>oboe, piano <\/strong>and<strong> theory <\/strong>at the <strong>Conservatori Superior de M\u00fasica de Barcelona<\/strong>. He subsequently <strong>graduated in oboe <\/strong>at the<strong> Musikhochschule Luzern, in composition <\/strong>at the <strong>Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Basel \/ Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel, and in conducting <\/strong>at the<strong> Z\u00fcrcher Hochschule der K\u00fcnste.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the opera field, he has been assistant to the English director <strong>Ivor Bolton<\/strong> at the Teatro Real in Madrid, where he made his debut in March 2016 directing Wagner&#8217;s \u201cDas Liebesverbot\u201d. He has also worked at the Theater Basel, the Dutch National Opera, the Neuk\u00f6llner Opera Berlin, the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid and the Teatre Lliure in Barcelona. Between 2012 and 2015 he regularly assisted maestro <strong>Josep Pons<\/strong> at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, \u200b\u200bwhere he had previously worked as musical assistant to <strong>Sebastian Weigle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>His operistic repertoire includes several names from the current scene (Haas, Sciarrino, Moser, Oehring, Barret) as well as others from the more classical repertoire (Nebra, Gluck, Mozart, Beethoven, Berlioz, Verdi, Rimsky-Korsakov and Britten). He regularly collaborates with the Basel Symphony, the Slovenian RTV Symphony and the ensemble BCN216 as well as being the artistic director of the<strong> Illa de Menorca Chamber Orchestra <\/strong>and of the Girona<strong> GIO Symphonia <\/strong>and, in Switzerland, the musical director of <strong>\u00d6! ensemble f\u00fcr neue musik<\/strong>. He also works with the Basel Sinfonietta, the Nederlands Kamerorkest, the Madrid Symphony, the Essener Philarmoniker, the National Classical Orchestra of Andorra (ONCA), the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Galicia or with ensembles such as the Ensemble Phoenix Basel or the Collegium Vocale Gent.<\/p>\n<p>At the Peralada Festival, he premiered as musical director the opera by <strong>Joan Magran\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.obnc.cat\/en\/production\/dialegs-de-tirant-e-carmesina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Di\u00e0legs de Tirant e Carmesina<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.obnc.cat\/en\/production\/dialegs-de-tirant-e-carmesina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em> (<\/em><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.obnc.cat\/en\/production\/dialegs-de-tirant-e-carmesina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Dialogues of Tirant and Carmesina) <\/em><\/a>produced by \u00d2BNC, which was performed in the 2019-20 season of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and in Teatros del Canal, Madrid, collaboration with Teatro Real, in the 2022-23 season.<\/p>\n<p>As a composer, his catalogue mainly includes chamber music and works for ensemble, which have been awarded \u00a0prizes in Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Austria. In October 2012 he premiered his first opera in Basel.
