Note: this lied is meant to sound like a compendium of old songs rediscovered, just as its title in French suggests. Combining materials of a contrasting nature, the work enhances the theatrical versatility of the baritone who, accompanied by a piano inspired by French Impressionism, sings in an invented language, whose intention is to explore the phonetic qualities of the syllables that create textual discourse.
